India's SUV market is brimming with excitement as a significant lineup refresh is in the works and a lot of new models from different segments are on their way for the first half of 2026. The automakers have pulled out their best cards starting from reworked star models to launching newcomers taking the brands such as Mahindra, Nissan, Kia, Renault, and Maruti Suzuki, to name a few, who are ready to showcase their next-gen SUVs, to be seen in the Indian market. Let us grab the key launches one by one.
Mahindra XUV 7XO
On January 5, 2026 Mahindra will roll out the XUV 7XO— the facelifted version of the XUV700. The SUV flaunts a rejuvenated look with couple pod LED lights, L-shaped DRLs, the XEV 9S's tail lights, a dark grille, and the luxury of a three-screen cabin, which is also seen in the test mules. The vehicle is equipped with the same engines— 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel— with choice of manual or automatic transmission of six speeds. An all-wheel drive version is likely to come.
Nissan Tekton
The Tekton SUV from Nissan will be soon launched in the Indian market with the introductory unveiling in the early months of 2026 and an upcoming late-year official unveiling. The Tekton, established on the platform of new-gen Renault Duster, will take on the Hyundai Creta. Patrol's signature LED lighting and exquisite chrome details are part of the design. New Generation Kia Seltos
Kia has released the totally new Seltos of which the exterior has been made over, the size has been increased as well as the interior equipped with dual 12.3-inch screens, ventilated seating, and a skylight has been done. The engine options are: a 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel with each of them available with manual and automatic transmission. The price will be publicized on January 2, 2026, with a tentative basic price of about ₹12 lakh.
New Renault Duster
In 2026 the new Duster with an entirely different platform and styled rugged and ladder-frame inspired will be the reincarnation of the classic Duster that Renault is going to introduce. The global model has already sold hybrid and electric versions and the Indian model's price is expected to be less than ₹15 lakh. The new Duster, which is adventure-themed, is going to have better off-road capabilities, terrain modes, and seating arrangements.
Maruti Suzuki eVitara
The eVitara, a fully electric version of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara, is expected to be launched in 2026. It will come with both 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery packs, with the larger variant giving an ARAI-certified range of 543 km. The electric SUV will be available in a total of three trims, with the base Delta trim that is connected with the 49 kWh battery.
